We are small time hobbiest who not only just enjoy the chickens but we also love to show them. As a child I remember being able to show in 4-h, now that i am older and have my own kids I wish to give them the same experience that i have had and then some.  We handle our birds on a daily basis and take great pride in our flocks.  We will be offering eggs and chicks locally and eventually will get to shipping.

We are focused on bantam breeds in chickens but do own a few standard fowl. The ducks will come in all 4 sizes., with those being the following: calls, mallards, cayuga, and our heavy breed muscovy.

Our Feed

For our feed we feed a combo of  scratch, and laying pellets. We will soon be switching over to fermented feed that will consist of laying pellets and scratch, along with the occasional chick grower. we will be doing the same for our chicks with chick start and very very little scratch added once they reach 8 weeks of age when they get put on chick grower. We do feed treats such as apples (without the sides as they are toxic), pumpkin, banana, and strawberry. Our feeders are bleached weekly to biweekly to ensure the cleanest feeding containers possible. We do also let our chickens out to free range and the ducks only get out if we clip wings to prevent them from flying away.  When we cut grass we also take those grass clippings to the birds to eat and scratch through.

~ We have fully converted to fermented feed as of July 2013.

Water

With our water containers, we clean and sanitize them once a week, sometimes more often depending on the weather. We always provide the freshest water at all times.
